Titel: Tuesday, 8th July

Hello,

At school, one of my teachers told us never to search for a needle in a haystack. Fortunately, the whole team has very well prepared this expedition and Philip is there to advise us : my experimentations are quite oriented. I’m looking for scales of fishes, bony plates of lizards, or simple seeds. All this can often be found in the neighbourhood of mammals that died in the same period. Once we find a good stratum, we will have to sieve hundreds of kilo’s of deposit in order to bring the fossils together. But that will be for next time.

See you,

Thierry

Searching for fossils requires simple equipment, but hard labour...
