Titel: Wednesday, 9th July

Hello,

The day starts with a meeting with Philip's students. Afterwards, we leave for the site. We have discovered a strange red stratum, with a thickness of about 10 cm. It's full of microfossils, which will allow to determine its age in a very precise way.

But it will be a bad day. Our vehicle remains jammed in the sand. This time, we need our tools to free its wheels. We don't want to get blocked in this desert nor to end our days as the poor deer which bones lay around us. Only a few plants survive in this arid and suffocating climate. At last we get out of it, but the results of the day are very poor.

See you,

Thierry
