Discovery of a new dinosaur - page 2
The site of Kundur during the excavations (this site is on the Moscow-Vladivostok road and has been incidentally discovered during road works).
Pascal Godefroit has just excavated the tail of a young Olorotitan arharensis, a crested hadrosaur.
Tooth of a carnivorous dinosaur. Next to the carcasses of hadrosaurs (that are herbivorous), palaeontologists find carnivorous teeth that belonged probably to scavengers.
Fossil leaves found in the neighbourhood give us an insight in the landscape where the hadrosaurs were living. Gallery forests grew along the riverbanks and farther from the water it looked like a woodland savannah.
