The peregrine falcons are back! (March 2007)
This year again you can take a look at the nest of a very impressive bird couple. The peregrine falcons are back in one of the towers of the St Michael and St Gudula's cathedral, in Brussels, and you can admire their offspring on a TV screen placed in front of the cathedral !
Fines for marine polluters (January 2007)
At the end of 2006, two persons have been imposed a fine for the illegal discharge of oil. The Swedish Ship Tor Belgia was detected discharging oil into the sea by the observation aircraft of the MUMM, our Museum’s North Sea department. It was thanks to the evidence brought by our surveyors that these polluters could be apprehended.
