(fam.: Pallaseidae; size: up to 65mm; depth: 1-50m)

This opportunistic predator can be found in very shallow waters, usually under stones. It is a very resistant species in captivity : some specimens are still in excellent shape after 3 years in the aquaria of the Institute.
