Welcome to our collections
The Royal belgian Institute for natural Sciences has a new reseach tool.
You will be able to search through 313 016 unique specimens that are located in our conservatories. This represents but a part of our entire collection.
The type-material that you will find in our collections, does not necessarily mean that they are types in the present concept of the "International Code of Zoological Nomenclature".
Other non-recognised types (Topotype,...) can be found.
