	The Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB), founded in 1896, functions as a department of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The GSB has around twenty statutory and contractual geologists. GSB produces a range of products including maps, books and database and acts as a resource centre and project partner in many aspects of Belgian geology.
