The Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB), founded in 1896, functions as a department of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The GSB has around twenty statutory and contractual geologists. GSB produces a range of products including maps, books and database and acts as a resource centre and project partner in many aspects of Belgian geology. GSB is a member of the European Geological Surveys network. This website is intended to show the range of GSB's research activities and products.
