CARTOGRAPHY OF THE FLEMISH SUBSURFACE

  • Aim: creation of a compilation of basemaps for various Tertiary formations, based on well data, geophysical data and literature study.
  • For:
    Ministerie van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap
    Departement Leefmilieu, Natuur en Energie
Afdeling Land en Bodembescherming, Ondergrond, Natuurlijke Rijkdommen

CARTOGRAPHY OF THE CALEDONIDES IN THE FLEMISH REGION

  • Aim: creation of a structural map of the Caledonides in the Flemish region based on aeromagnetic data, well data, geophysical data, …
  • For:
    Ministerie van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap
    Departement Leefmilieu, Natuur en Energie
Afdeling Land en Bodembescherming, Ondergrond, Natuurlijke Rijkdommen

CROSS-BOUNDARY BASEMAPS OF TERTIARY FORMATIONS IN BELGIUM

  • Aim: Creation of a compilation of basemaps for various Tertiary formations in Belgium, based on well data, geophysical data and literature study.
  • For: Geological Survey of Belgium

CORRECTIONS ON THE FLEMISH GROUNDWATER MODEL

  • Aim: Adjusting the hydrogeological mapping of the subsurface in the Flemish region (HCOV). Adjusting vertical boundaries based on a new digital height model (DTM). Remapping of the quaternary and tertiary in the hilly region of the Flanders and the connection between map area 1&3.
  • For:
    Ministerie van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap
    Departement Leefmilieu, Natuur en Energie
Afdeling Land en Bodembescherming, Ondergrond, Natuurlijke Rijkdommen

PETROLEUM GEOLOGICAL ATLAS OF THE SOUTHERN PERMIAN BASIN AREA (SPBA)

  • Aim: The Atlas reviews the entire Southern Permian Basin Area, covering the British, Belgian, Dutch, German, Danish and Polish sectors. The area under review extends from eastern England to the Russian-Polish border and is situated between latitudes 50 and 56 degrees North. The Atlas addresses the geologic evolution and hydrocarbon potential per stratigraphic interval. Participation consists of delivering geological data, maps, charts, … from the Belgian subsurface.
  • For: TNO Built Environment and Geosciences - National Geological Survey

GEOLOGICAL 3D-MAPPING OF A REGION IN THE BELGIAN CAMPINE AREA

  • Aim: 3D-visualisation of the deep surface of a region in the Belgian Campine area to obtain a clear 3D view for further investigations. The model is made from seismological data (isochrones maps) and well data.
  • For: a private client

SEISMIC COMPILATION STUDY OF THE FLEMISH REGION

  • Aim: To make an up-to-data compilation study of the actual known seismological activity in the Flemish Region and surroundings and to place this in the context of the Northwestern European recent geodynamical evolution. Creation of a groundtype map of the Flemish region according the EuroCode-8 norms (a normative European document for construction projects in seismic areas).
  • For: Royal Observatory of Belgium

3D, LOWER-RUPELIAN-TONGERIAN MODEL

  • Aim: Mapping of the base of the members of the formations from Late-Eocene to Early-Oligocene based on high-quality data like geophysical boreholes and cored boreholes.
  • For: SCK-CEN
