Deliverables
- Identified specimen collections, with matching tissue and DNA collections of faunas that are of great importance for taxonomical studies, evolutionary and ecological studies.
- Mitochondrial DNA sequence data base for cichlids, sculpins, shrimps, amphipods and ostracods, each representing spectacular endemic species assemblages.
- Subsets of this database will be fed into the databases from the Consortium for the Barcode of Life (COBOL).
- The development of new software applications.
- Training of PhD students.
- Evaluation of the usefulness of genetic markers to estimate effects of environmental changes on species and populations.
- Scientific publications on separate phylogenies of each group, species descriptions, a combined analysis/lake, analyses of the combined data sets.
- Workshops and reports
- Summary ‘Technical Implementation Report’
