Ballistics
Each weapon leaves a unique mark, just as specific as fingerprints, on the bullets fired and their cartridges. The specialists use a microscope to examine and match these marks with those encoded in the National Ballistics Database. Ballistics experts can also recreate the trajectory of a bullet.
