Interview Dominique Jongen
How would you describe the paleoLAB?
The PaleoLab is a room where children, their parents and class groups can discover palaeontology. If there were a secret password to the room, it would be 'Touch Everything'. 40 activities put youngsters in the shoes of a real palaeontologist: observing, manipulating, measuring and reconstructing the lost world of dinosaurs!
Do the children have a preferred activity?
Kids love all the activities! But the ones with real fossils are their favourites. Major hits are also the life-size puzzle of the stegosaur, the sand storm in the mini-desert, and the allosaur and camarosaur with matching teeth. But really, all activities are fun and instructive!
So, they keep a positive memory of their visit to this room…
It's not hard at all getting children into the PaleoLAB, the hard part is getting them out again! And the adults? They're even worse!
