Endorsed Actions Plans

During 2007-2008, the UNEP/CMS Secretariat worked with the Royal Belgian Institute for Natural Sciences, in partnership with the UNEP/UNESCO GRASP Secretariat, and in consultation with the gorilla Range States and the other partners of GRASP, to update the drafts Actions Plans

In the run-up to the 9th Meeting of the CMS Conference of the Parties in Rome(1 dec-5dec 2008), the parties of the CMS Gorilla Agreement, other gorilla range states, involved countries and representatives of conservation NGOs such as WWF, IUCN and WCS came together for the 1st Meeting of Parties to this agreement, which aims to conserve gorillas and their habitats (Rome, 29 November).
