In 2016 we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Belgian ratification of the Biodiversity Convention. For this occasion, the Belgian Focal Point for Biodiversity and the regional and federal environmental administrations organise a conference at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences on May 20th, 2016.

During this bilingual conference (Dutch-French), ministers will present their political decisions of the past and the future. Interaction between policy makers and the general public will be possible during a debate and the network lunch with presentations, movies, exhibitions. And…the award winners of the competition “1001 Ideas” will be presented during an official moment. More information on this event can be found on the Dutch or French web pages.
