Expedition Kazarka
The beautiful red-breasted goose has declined sharply in numbers in recent decades. What is threatening this species? In this mini docu from the Institute of Natural Sciences, travel with ornithologist Didier Vangeluwe to the Siberian tundra, where the red-breasted goose breeds. Together with Russian colleagues, he equips the geese with a GPS transmitter to map their migration routes - more than 7,000 kilometres away. It helps us figure out why the species is struggling so we can better protect it. Operation Kazarka!
