Come aboard the RV Belgica during the Navy Days in Zeebrugge on 4 and 5 July

What is a research vessel? Why does Belgium operate one? What kind of research is carried out in the North Sea? What equipment is used on board? What does a typical day at sea look like for scientists? If you have ever wondered about any of these questions, now is your chance: come aboard and discover the world behind marine scientific research! 

During the Navy Days, the RV Belgica will exceptionally welcome visitors on board. You will be able to explore the laboratories and scientific equipment, meet researchers who will explain their work and, of course, enjoy the view from the bridge! 

A unique opportunity to discover how Belgium studies and monitors the North Sea using one of its most important scientific research tools. 

You will also have the opportunity to visit a wide range of other (Belgian and international) vessels. Numerous demonstrations and activities will be organised throughout the weekend.
